The Invitation
I’ll bring my flame
you bring yours
nothing less
nothing more
your very being-ness
is the only kindling
that I need
if I stretch out my threads to you
can we weave a nest?
a holding space
for this particular time and place
where we can relax into the more of each other
an infinite unfolding
if you want to
we can build a hearth
here
sleep in the warmth
here
we can cook a feast
here
we don’t have to let a drop
go to waste,
